A third generation organic farm in the heart of the Redlands, Mount Cotton is an absolute stunner of a property with a view to boot. Run by Ashley and his family (& Princess the cow), it doesn’t get much better than the organic goodness that grows here, which is why we can never get enough of what’s on offer at the Mount Cotton farm gate. . Their orchard spills out the juiciest citrus, pawpaw & custard…While their strawberry field is packed with incomparably delish berries growing straight out of the ground.
Neighbourhood One of the most aptly named farms we know, Neighborhood are your friendly neighbourhood farmers growing lush organic produce on a mid-sized property out the back of Oxley. Matt & Micah may only be a team of two, but their weekly haul is massive, boasting the best of nature’s bounty every season. Nestled in the Samford Valley, Phil & Alice’s ever expanding garden produces some of the happiest and yummiest produce around. With a focus split between natural farming, and a closed loop system with their cafe & bar partners that sees all kitchen scraps, (vege, egg shells, bread off cuts – you name it!) returned to the property and composted to create rich, biodiverse soil, LOOP Growers set the bar for how good circular economies can be. With an unbeatable seasonal selection, rainbow carrots, bold beetroots, and plump-as pumpkins are just some of the beautiful bounty we look forward to receiving from LOOP.
With a happy lineup of hives buzzing farmside at LOOP Growers, Gary’s Honey is collaboration with and for the bees. Gary takes a slow and sustainable approach to beekeeping, harvesting small batches when and where the bees are ready. Each harvest is varied in taste, reflective of what the bees have been foraging on. Gary’s LOOP honey is light and floral, as the bee’s diet of organic vege and wild flowers can be tasted in every sticky, drippy drop!
